Question 173

Are musical instruments such as the piano, oud, drum, and flute prohibited in themselves, or does the ruling depend on their use, as with drums used in war?

Ahmed al-Hasan Response:

The issue of musical instruments and music in general has details, and this is not the time for them. If life remains and Allah wills, I will explain them at their time.
