Question 8

Since allowing thick dust to reach the throat is one of the things that invalidates a fast, must a fasting person take precautions when he knows dust may reach his throat unintentionally, such as in very dusty weather?

Ahmed al-Hasan Response:

He is not required to take precautions, although it is better for him to do so in order to prevent the dust from reaching his throat.
