What if the listener cannot verify a reported crescent sighting for some reason, such as imprisonment, but the report gives him a strong presumption that the month has begun? Is it sufficient for him to fast on that basis?
Ahmed al-Hasan Response:
It is sufficient for him unless it later becomes clear that the report was incorrect.
