Question 137
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. O Allah, send prayers upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, the Imams and the Mahdis, and grant them abundant peace. My master, Yamani of the family of Muhammad, peace, Allah’s mercy, and His blessings be upon you. In recent days, a practice has spread of circumventing the servers of Internet systems and centers so that a user can connect to the Internet without paying a subscription to the center’s owner. A type of software enables him to access the network through the address of one of the owner’s actual subscribers. The process is colloquially called ‘hacking Internet access.’ What is the ruling concerning a person who performs this operation and takes a connection free of charge, given that most centers are not government-owned but belong to particular members of the general public? O Allah, protect my master and guardian Ahmed Alhasan and make us firm in our allegiance to him, O Allah. Sender: Muhammad Qasim Khalil
Ahmed al-Hasan Response:
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and may Allah send prayers upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, the Imams and the Mahdis, and grant them abundant peace. It is not permissible, unless the owner of the property openly shows hostility toward the Imams and the Mahdis, in which case his property is not protected ([280]).

↑ [280] Ibn Farqad said: I asked Abu Abdullah (a), ‘What do you say concerning killing a Nasibi?’ He said: ‘His blood is lawful, but I fear for you. If you can bring a wall down upon him or drown him in water so that no one can testify against you, then do so.’ I asked, ‘What is your view concerning his wealth?’ He said: ‘Take whatever of it you are able to take.’ Bihar al-Anwar, vol. 72, p. 231. Abu Abdullah (a) also said: ‘Take the wealth of the Nasibi wherever you find it and send us the khums.’ Bihar al-Anwar, vol. 39, p. 194. (Commentator.)
