Question 178
A person works regularly at a health department where there are many female employees. What is the ruling on men and women mixing during work? And what is the ruling on looking?
Ahmed al-Hasan Response:
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds. The presence of men and women together in any place for the purpose of carrying out work that is religiously permissible is permissible. Believing men and women must fulfill the duty of enjoining what is right and forbidding what is wrong. As for looking, it is permissible if it is not deliberately done with suspicion or for enjoyment. Sayyid Ahmed Alhasan Vicegerent and Messenger of Imam al-Mahdi (a)
