Question 244

I seek refuge in Allah, the Hearing, the Knowing, from the accursed and rejected Satan. In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. O Allah, send prayers upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, the Imams and the Mahdis, and grant them abundant peace. Peace, mercy, and blessings of Allah be upon you. Some time ago I dreamed these two visions: The first vision: I was upon the roof of the house. I looked at the sky and saw the Prophet’s Mosque, the mosque of the Messenger (s), with the Kaaba beside it, and they were moving together. It was as though smoke or fog was coming from beneath the mosque and the Kaaba as they moved above the sky toward me. The Kaaba and the Prophet’s Mosque stopped at a particular place in the sky. There were people with me. I then rose and prostrated toward the Kaaba and the Prophet’s Mosque, which were above the sky, after they had moved toward me and stopped at a particular place in the sky very close to me. At that point I prostrated toward the Prophet’s Mosque and the Kaaba while they were above the sky. Then the people prostrated with me-perhaps they prostrated after me and perhaps they were behind me; I do not remember. I then raised my head while filled with grief and tears were falling from my eyes. Afterward, in the same dream, I found the Kaaba upon the roof of the house, with only part of it visible. It was as though the Kaaba had penetrated the roof wall, and part of the Kaaba appeared from behind the wall that had broken. Perhaps the part was the Yamani Corner or another part; I do not remember. All the people with me were looking at the Kaaba above my house’s roof, except for one person who was sitting. I said something to him concerning the Kaaba, and he said, ‘I do not know; I am afraid.’ In reality I know this person personally. The Yamani call reached him through me, and I discussed it with him and explained things about the Yamani (a), but this person rejected it. Indeed, he did not stop at that but cursed the Sayyid-Allah forbid such disbelief-because of the intensity of his defense of al-Sistani, whom he follows. Likewise, among all the people who were upon the roof and prostrated toward the Prophet’s Mosque and the Kaaba above the sky, I knew only two: the first was the person I mentioned discussing the call with, and the second is a righteous believer who does not believe in the call, named Fayiz. The sight was truly very awe-inspiring. I saw the Kaaba as immense, particularly when it came to be above the roof of my house-or, more accurately, when part of it penetrated the wall and appeared above the roof. What is remarkable is that the side of this wall which the part of the Kaaba penetrated is the very direction of the qiblah, such that if I stood facing this wall on the roof now, I would be facing the qiblah exactly. The second vision: I saw myself wearing strange white clothing resembling a military uniform in our age. Upon the right and left shoulders of the uniform were stars, perhaps yellow or gold; I do not remember precisely. I was sitting upon the bed-not lying upon it, but sitting-contemplating my clothing and looking at the stars upon the right and left shoulders of the uniform. Both dreams occurred during a period of severe grief and distress that befell me. These two visions comforted me during that time in a way that removed great anxiety and sorrow from which I was suffering then. There was a very short period between the two dreams. The vision of the Kaaba and the Prophet’s Mosque was first, and after a short time came the vision of the uniform bearing stars. I hope for the interpretation from the Sayyid-may Allah’s prayers and peace be upon him. Sender: Azzam al-Ubaydi - one who seeks victory through the Yamani

Ahmed al-Hasan Response:

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and may Allah send prayers upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, the Imams and the Mahdis, and grant them abundant peace. The first vision: the Kaaba and the Prophet’s Mosque indicate the descent of guidance to the earth. It is presumed that the Kaaba alone would suffice to indicate guidance in the vision, but the Prophet’s Mosque indicates this truth’s great similarity to the call of the Messenger of Allah Muhammad (s), such that the events, occurrences, enemies, and guardians resemble one another. Abu Jafar (a) said: ‘When our Riser rises, he calls the people to a new matter just as the Messenger of Allah (s) called them. Islam began as something strange and will return as something strange just as it began, so blessed are the strangers’ ([87]). Abu Basir narrated that Abu Abdullah (a) said: ‘Islam began as something strange and will return as something strange just as it began, so blessed are the strangers.’ I said, ‘Explain this to me-may Allah set you right.’ He said, ‘The caller from us begins a new call, just as the Messenger of Allah (s) called’ ([88]). Abu Basir said: I said to Abu Abdullah (a), ‘Tell me about the Commander of the Believers’ statement (a), “Islam began as something strange and will return as it began, so blessed are the strangers.”’ He said, ‘O Abu Muhammad, when the Riser (a) rises, he begins a new call just as the Messenger of Allah (s) called.’ He said: I rose to him, kissed his head, and said, ‘I testify that you are my Imam in this world and the Hereafter. I accept your guardian as my guardian, oppose your enemy, and testify that you are the guardian of Allah.’ He said, ‘May Allah have mercy upon you’ ([89]). As for the smoke, it indicates punishment: the punishment accompanying the call of truth, just as it accompanied all earlier divine calls and descended upon rebellious nations. This time, however, it will include all the people of the earth if they oppose Allah’s command, because the call has reached them and is directed to all of them. I ask Allah, Glorious is He, to save the believers through His favor. The two who did not prostrate do not believe in the truth. Those who prostrate are the angels, while those who refuse are Iblis and his followers, as in the first command; it is repeated in every age. The Kaaba’s descent in your house or upon the roof of your home is proof that you are upon guidance and the straight path. Its being in the direction of the qiblah means that you are upon divine authority. The second vision: the bed is a position and dominion. The stars upon the shoulder indicate distinction and rank with Allah and His angels (a). The vision is among the glad tidings for the future. We ask Allah to grant you success, make you firm upon the truth until the final moment of your life in this world, make your vision true, comfort your eye, and keep from you the evil of evildoers among the satans of humankind and the jinn-may Allah disgrace them. Peace, mercy, and blessings of Allah be upon you. Ahmed Alhasan
