Question 492

An old Sunni friend and I were walking and entered a place. We saw Imam Khomeini sitting upon a heap of beef, kneading it, weeping, seeking help from al-Zahra, and sprinkling bulgur upon the meat. I sat facing the Imam and began doing as he did: kneading the meat, sprinkling bulgur upon it, weeping, and seeking help from al-Zahra. I gestured to my friend to come up with me, but he did not. Imam Khomeini gave me a ball of meat and told me, ‘If this meat spoils, then he is not an Imam. This meat will not spoil.’ I took the ball of meat in amazement and began going among the people with it, telling them, ‘Sayyed Ahmed is the Imam,’ and challenging them that this meat would not spoil. Then he told me, ‘Sayyed Ahmed has a certain thing that does not exist anywhere else in the world,’ but I forgot it. Sender: Amili - Germany
