Question 501
To my master and guardian, Sayyed Ahmed Alhasan (a); to the Yamani of the family of Muhammad-may Allah’s prayers and peace be upon him and his household. May our souls-mine and those of all my family and children-be your ransom. My master and guardian, I saw a vision in which there was a command from Allah that I slaughter my wife. I went to my wife, who was with me in the house, and told her, ‘Allah has commanded me to slaughter you.’ A knife was in my hand. When my wife heard what I told her, she immediately submitted, lay down, bent her head, exposed her neck to me, and said, ‘Slaughter me.’ But I could not slaughter her. While holding the knife in my hand, I wept and said, ‘I cannot slaughter you.’ My master and guardian, what is the interpretation of this vision? Sender: Muhammad al-Tamimi
Ahmed al-Hasan Response:
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and may Allah send prayers upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, the Imams and the Mahdis, and grant them peace. The interpretation of the vision is that it commands you to command your wife always to follow the truth, worship and obey Allah, be sincere to Allah, and perform whatever recommended acts she can, such as the night prayer. Slaughtering her means killing the ‘I,’ desire, and love of the world within her soul. Peace, mercy, and blessings of Allah be upon you. Ahmed Alhasan Jumada al-Awwal 1431 AH
