Question 504

I saw in a dream that I was going to a house where they were performing reenactments about Imam al-Husayn (a). It was a place with women only, and they were portraying the role of Lady Ruqayya (a). The door of the house was open, and in front of it was an empty courtyard. Then a girl came dressed entirely in black, so that even her face could not be seen. One of the women said, ‘This is Lady Ruqayya; she has come.’ Then one of the women said to me, ‘Why do you not portray the role of Lady Ruqayya?’ I answered her, ‘I do not like reenactments; I came only to watch.’ I remained until Lady Ruqayya gave me her cloak. The cloak was very heavy, so much so that it hurt my head, and I said, ‘May Allah help Lady Ruqayya-how did she carry it?’ Sender: Umm Ali - Iraq

Ahmed al-Hasan Response:

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and may Allah send prayers upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, the Imams and the Mahdis, and grant them peace. The vision gives glad tidings to the woman to whom Lady Ruqayya gave her cloak. Allah willing, she is in goodness and at an elevated station if Allah grants her sincerity and a good end. Peace, mercy, and blessings of Allah be upon you. Ahmed Alhasan Jumada al-Awwal 1431 AH
