Question 655

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Who is being addressed in these noble verses from Surat Yunus? ‘If you are in doubt concerning what We have sent down to you, then ask those who read the Book before you. The truth has certainly come to you from your Lord, so do not be among the doubters … And do not be among those who deny the signs of Allah, lest you become one of the losers … Set your face toward the religion as a Hanif, and do not be among the polytheists … Do not invoke besides Allah that which can neither benefit nor harm you, for if you do so, you will then be among the wrongdoers … If Allah touches you with harm, none can remove it except Him; and if He intends good for you, none can repel His bounty. He causes it to reach whomever He wills of His servants, and He is the Forgiving, the Merciful.’ Peace, mercy, and blessings of Allah be upon you. Sender: Zaynab - United Arab Emirates

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and may Allah send prayers upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, the Imams and the Mahdis, and grant them peace. The one addressed is the Messenger of Allah (s), the Imams, and every accountable person who is sincere to Allah and receives Allah’s revelation. The possibility of occurrence mentioned in the verses does not mean that it occurred. The Messenger is an accountable human being who is tested in this world, but he was sincere to Allah, so Allah granted him success and protected him from error.
