Question 683
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Peace, mercy, and blessings of Allah be upon you, my master and guardian Ahmed Alhasan. What is the ruling concerning trading in gold and oil, foreign-exchange and stock exchanges, futures contracts, contracts for differences, and other such things, all of which are conducted online through brokerage companies that provide the service of trading in these matters? Do not forget us in the blessings of your supplication. Your servant Hasan - Bahrain
Ahmed al-Hasan Response:
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and may Allah send prayers upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, the Imams and the Mahdis, and grant them peace. It is permissible.
