Question 852 - The Enlightening Answer Across the Ether, Vol 7

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and may Allah send prayers upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, the Imams and the Mahdis, and grant them peace. Suppose, for argument’s sake, the Imam answered what you request. The Imam is sent to all humankind-more than six billion people. This would require him to fulfill this request of yours for all six billion. How long would fulfilling a request entirely devoid of wisdom take?! Was he sent to fulfill people’s requests or to guide people to the path of truth?! What is wrong with you, O people?! What has befallen you?! Do you not say we live in an age of knowledge and development? Have knowledge and development brought you to the point where you ask a man sent by Imam al-Mahdi to explain the truth and correct doctrine and negate deviations attached to it by the tampering of the end-time jurists, yet you come asking these empty questions that, if they indicate anything, indicate the emptiness of their askers’ minds?! Return to sound judgment, repent to Allah, Glorious is He, and ask about your religion. Allah, His friends, and His Proofs among the prophets, messengers, and vicegerents commanded you to ask about your religion, not your name or job. It is narrated from the pure family of Muhammad: ‘Ask about your religion until people say you are mad.’ The Most High said: ‘When the Trumpet is blown, there will be no kinship between them that day, nor will they ask about one another’ [al-Muʾminun 23:101]. Where are you in relation to Allah’s Book? Where are you in relation to your Messenger’s pure progeny and the knowledge they left you through which you can recognize truth from falsehood?! How astonishing you are: you affiliate yourselves with Islam while being as far from it as east is from west. Praise be to Allah alone, alone, alone.
