Question 25
May I make up one day's prayers on behalf of several deceased people with a single intention—for example, performing the dawn, noon, afternoon, sunset and night prayers as qada on behalf of my deceased parents and brothers?
Ahmed al-Hasan Response:
A single prayer cannot validly be performed on behalf of more than one deceased person. However, if you intend only to gift its reward, you may gift the reward of one prayer to more than one deceased person.
