Question 50

The obligation of ghusl is stated to arise from the 'meeting of the two circumcised parts.' What is meant by this?

Ahmed al-Hasan Response:

What is meant is approximately the insertion of the glans of the male sexual organ (the husband), or an equivalent amount, into the interior of the female genital opening (the wife). The 'meeting of the two circumcised parts' means the meeting of the front portion of the male sexual organ, where circumcision is normally performed, with the vaginal opening of the female sexual organ.
