Question 85
A woman takes pills during Ramadan to prevent menstruation so that she can fast. What is the ruling? And what is the ruling on blood that she sees only for very short periods during her usual days or outside them?
Ahmed al-Hasan Response:
It is disliked for her to take pills in order to prevent menstruation. If she sees blood during the days of her habit for three days or more, it is menstruation even if the blood is slight and intermittent.
