Question 13
Each year, one of the Ansar brothers voluntarily provides a banquet or a sum of money specifically to the Ansar brothers at the Husayniyyah. Is it permissible to give that amount instead to an Ansari whom he finds to be in need?
Ahmed al-Hasan Response:
If it is merely a voluntary donation, he may use it in whatever way he considers appropriate. If he previously used to provide a banquet, it is better that he also gather his brothers for a banquet to break the fast on one of the days of Ramadan.
