Question 75

Is it permissible to hunt fish and birds by putting out poison? This method kills every living creature in the water. Birds are affected only if they eat the poison; they do not die immediately and can be taken alive, but birds left behind after eating it will die if no one takes them alive soon after they begin eating the poison.

Ahmed al-Hasan Response:

It is not permissible.
