Question 130
What is the ruling on tattooing part of the body, and on eyebrow tattooing as practiced today? Tattooing here means piercing the skin with a needle until blood comes out like a wound, leaving a lasting image such as birds, people, or flowers.
Ahmed al-Hasan Response:
Tattooing the eyebrow area for a reason such as absence or scarcity of eyebrow hair is permissible. Tattooing images of animals and other such images on the body is not permissible.
