Question 140
May a woman wear gold jewelry and leave the house wearing it?
Ahmed al-Hasan Response:
A woman may wear gold, and doing so is recommended. But it is prohibited for her to display it before men other than her husband and mahrams, except for a wedding ring, which by customary understanding is not regarded as adornment in this sense; she may wear it and display it before men.
