Question 83
If a person vows to perform i'tikaf for five days, does he perform five days or six?
Ahmed al-Hasan Response:
He performs i'tikaf for five days. However, if he did not stipulate that the five days be consecutive, performs three days and then stops, he cannot later perform only the remaining two days; he must perform another three days.
