Question 64

A pilgrim may be unable to slaughter in Mina or in the areas near it. What is his duty?

Ahmed al-Hasan Response:

If he is unable to slaughter in Mina or its surroundings, he must fast in the manner I explained in Shara'i al-Islam: three days during Hajj and seven when he returns to his family. If he is unable to fast, nothing is required of him. It is preferable for him to appoint someone to slaughter on his behalf where his family is, or in any other place.
