Question 62

If a person goes for Hajj but cannot perform either the normal standings at their prescribed times or their emergency alternatives, and he cannot perform Hajj the following year because of an obstacle and cannot even hire someone to perform it on his behalf, what is required of him?

Ahmed al-Hasan Response:

Nothing is required of him. Hajj is obligatory only upon one for whom the way to Hajj is made possible. In general, his going is sufficient, for deeds are only according to intentions.
