Question 59
I performed eight circuits of tawaf. What is my duty?
Ahmed al-Hasan Response:
I explained this in Al-Shara'i: [Whoever inadvertently adds to the seven circuits completes them as two sets of seven, performs the obligatory tawaf prayer first, and performs the two rak'ahs of the additional tawaf after finishing sa'y.] If you did not know this ruling until you had already left the rites of Hajj or Umrah, then if you are able to return you should complete the second set of seven; otherwise nothing is required of you.
