Question 18
Kind greetings to Sayyid Ahmed Alhasan. Peace be upon you. I received all your answers, and I am thankful and grateful for your concern for me. But an important matter puzzled me: you want to know my educational and religious level, while you are the one who says, ‘I know the Gospel better than its people, and the Torah and your Quran,’ and so on. How, then, does your Imam not inform you who I am and what my educational level is, so that you may prove to people like me the truth of what you say? What is the answer? In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds. ‘Likewise the chief priests, mocking him with the scribes and elders, said: He saved others, but he cannot save himself. If he is the King of Israel, let him now come down from the cross and we will believe in him. He trusted in Allah; let Him rescue him now, if He desires him.’ Would someone looking at Moses (a) have been unaware that there was a staff in his right hand? So what of Allah, Glorious is He? Why, then, did He ask him, ‘What is that in your right hand, O Moses?’ Ahmed Alhasan
