Question 25

Which classes of people will be reached by the sword of my master and lord, the Imam-may Allah hasten his relief? Why does he not eliminate the scholars who harm him by interpreting the hadith and the Quran, according to the narration of Imam al-Sadiq (a), ‘He suffers more severely than what the Messenger of Allah suffered from the disbelievers’-to the meaning of the hadith? Does the Imam kill those who do not fight him despite their not believing in his cause? When he rises to undertake the matter, will people be only two groups, or will there be a group that is ‘neither with these nor with those’? Alaa Razzaq 2 Rabi al-Awwal 1426 AH

Ahmed al-Hasan Response:

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds. The call of Imam al-Mahdi, like every divine call, necessarily divides people in relation to it into three groups: believers, hypocrites, and disbelievers. The Messenger of Allah, Muhammad (s), was commanded to refrain from the hypocrites, while the Qa’im (a) is commanded to eliminate the disbelievers and then the hypocrites. The command belongs to Allah before and after, and praise be to Allah alone. Ahmed Alhasan
