Question 30
In the name of Allah, the Mighty, the Wise. To Sayyid Ahmed Alhasan: what is your opinion of the sacred guardian Sayyid Muhammad al-Sadr-may Allah be pleased with him? What is the religious thesis you have brought to serve as a proof upon the believers? Your way of establishing your proof against the lying religious authorities does not require you to go to them; they should come to you, because according to what you claim, you are the Imam’s messenger-may Allah hasten his relief. Please answer my questions yourself. Note: I do not deny any intervention by the Imam, because the Imam is present now and we await his greater appearance. Numayr 7 Rabi al-Thani 1426 AH
Ahmed al-Hasan Response:
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah for His trial and His immense blessings. O Allah, bless Muhammad and the family of Muhammad. Peace, mercy, and blessings of Allah be upon you. Sayyid Ahmed Alhasan’s opinion of the martyred Sayyid Muhammad Muhammad Sadiq al-Sadr is that he was one of the reformers and is regarded as one of those who did much to prepare the way for Imam al-Mahdi (a). May Allah’s mercy and blessings be upon him. Sayyid Ahmed Alhasan’s thesis and proof upon the people is that he is sent by Imam al-Mahdi (a) to gather the nation after division, loss, and fragmentation; unite them beneath the banner of Imam al-Mahdi; reject and combat appointment by the people-the Western democratic ideology; and acknowledge the sovereignty of Allah the Exalted. He explained this in his book The Sovereignty of Allah, Not the Sovereignty of the People. Please consult it and reflect upon it. The evidence for Sayyid Ahmed Alhasan’s truthfulness is abundant. Please consult it on the website mentioned, especially The Clear Proclamation, Vol 1; The Crushing Response; The Decisive Response; and other publications of the Supporters of Imam al-Mahdi (a). Allah the Exalted’s practice concerning the companions of divine calls is that they convey to the people and establish the proof against them before Allah the Exalted. If the people or scholars turn away from and neglect those calls, their doors must be knocked upon and the proof and declaration made audible to them. This is the way of the prophets, messengers, and purified Imams. It is stated in the description of the Messenger of Allah (s): ‘A roaming physician who moves about with his medicine, having prepared his ointments and heated his cauterizing instruments.’ At the beginning of his mission, he (s) sent messengers to kings-such as the king of Rome, the king of Persia, and others-asking them to believe in his message from Allah the Exalted. Allah the Exalted mentioned this practice on many occasions in the Noble Quran, including His words describing the call of Allah’s prophet Noah (a): ‘He said: My Lord, indeed I called my people night and day, but my call only increased them in flight. Whenever I called them so that You might forgive them, they put their fingers in their ears, covered themselves with their garments, persisted, and acted with great arrogance. Then indeed I called them publicly. Then indeed I proclaimed to them openly and spoke to them privately’ ([71]). Nazim al-Uqayli The Supporters of Imam al-Mahdi (a)
