Question 37
In His exalted name. If the Quran was compiled during the Messenger’s lifetime, why was it not compiled according to the order of revelation? Why did the creation of the earth take four days while the creation of heaven took only two days? Please answer; may Allah have mercy on you. Yusuf al-Ali 22 Rabi al-Thani 1426 AH
Ahmed al-Hasan Response:
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds. Regarding the compilation of the Quran in people’s hands, everyone knows that it occurred after the time of the Messenger Muhammad (s). What was compiled during the lifetime of the Messenger of Allah (s) is with the Imam (a). As for the second question, the answer is in The Allegories, Vol 4, which is being printed and will be published soon, Allah willing. Ahmed Alhasan Jumada al-Awwal 1426 AH
