Question 36
Peace be upon you. I am an Iraqi living abroad in Germany, specifically Munich. I have read some of what you mentioned, but how can it be believed when we have heard that many people claim to be messengers of the Mahdi-may Allah hasten his noble relief-yet they are only liars? I am sorry; I do not mean you. But how can I believe, and how can I know you when you have said that you learned knowledge from the knowledge of Imam al-Mahdi? My question is: can you meet me? I swear that I am afraid, because I desire the Hereafter and not this world. By Allah, bring me near to Imam al-Mahdi. Peace be upon you. Tariq al-Ansari Rabi al-Thani 1426 AH

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds. My brother, the existence of falsehood does not indicate that the truth is false. The existence of Musaylima the Liar-may Allah curse him-does not indicate that Muhammad (s) was false. Perform the ritual bath, fast for three days, and recite this supplication-the supplication in the answer to Question 14. I ask Allah to guide you to the straight path, show you truth as truth and grant you its following, and show you falsehood as falsehood and grant you its avoidance.
