Question 149
What is the ruling concerning the nation and relatives who claim that they did not learn of the call despite the cry of truth, outreach, and publications? Are we obligated to make each one of them hear individually, or is general outreach sufficient to discharge the obligation? Sayyid Hasan Muhammad Ali al-Hammami Holy Najaf
Ahmed al-Hasan Response:
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds. A believer must convey the call to everyone whom he can reach, but detail is not required. A general statement suffices, such as: ‘Imam al-Mahdi (a) has sent a messenger whose name is so-and-so.’ Sayyid Ahmed Alhasan Vicegerent and Messenger of Imam al-Mahdi (a)
