Ahmed al-Hasan Response:

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds. It is permissible to buy, sell, possess, and make dolls and statues that are in the form of an animal, but it is discouraged. This applies if they do not contain anything prohibited, such as displaying private parts or arousing desire, or if they are not things taken for worship and prostration to them instead of Allah, or prostration toward them as a direction of prayer. Sayyid Ahmed Alhasan Vicegerent and Messenger of Imam al-Mahdi (a)
