Question 187
If I perform the noon prayer with the adhan and iqamah, and after the prayer continue with recommended prayers, supplications, and remembrance of Allah until the period extends to the afternoon prayer, does the adhan for noon suffice, or should I give another adhan for the afternoon prayer? What is the governing criterion in this matter? May Allah the Exalted make us steadfast in allegiance to you and in maintaining ties with you.
Ahmed al-Hasan Response:
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds. If you have not left the place of your prostration, you may suffice with the first adhan. Sayyid Ahmed Alhasan Vicegerent and Messenger of Imam al-Mahdi (a)
