Question 198
I have believed in the Call of the promised Yamani-peace be upon him-but my husband has not believed and is doubtful. I have two sons by him, and he asks me for another child. I do not consider him fit for me to bear offspring for him. What is my religious duty in this matter? Should I remain with him and live my life, or should I seek separation in obedience to the Imam (a)? Umm Musa-Holy Najaf
Ahmed al-Hasan Response:
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds. If he does not harbor hostility toward the Imams and the Mahdis or toward their Shia, it is permissible to remain with him. Sayyid Ahmed Alhasan Vicegerent and Messenger of Imam al-Mahdi (a)
