Question 250
Peace be upon my guardian and the son of my guardian. In the year of the 1988 uprising, I covenanted with Allah, Glorious is He, that I would place myself, my wealth, and my entire family in Allah’s path and strive in Palestine. I was not married, and I belonged to the stateless category and could not travel. I later married and had four children. While I was seven months pregnant, I obtained a passport in 2001. I wrote to al-Sistani concerning my covenant with Allah, Glorious is He, and he wrote to me that I should remain in my house and raise my children righteously. One of Sayyid al-Shirazi’s jurists likewise explained to me that the covenant was invalid, as did other jurists. I was not convinced by the answer, but I became still. I wish to add something important: I covenanted with Allah that I would not turn back from this covenant. Inform me, my guardian, by the right of your father, al-Hujjah. Convey to him many greetings and much longing from me. I am afraid, and I know that my Lord, Glorious is He, is the Most Merciful of the merciful. In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and may Allah send prayers upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, the Imams and the Mahdis, and grant them abundant peace. Fulfill the covenant through your belief in the truth and by striving with the supporters of Imam al-Mahdi (a) through the word, guiding people to the truth, and every means of striving in His path that Allah facilitates for you. This is the path to Allah and to the chambers of His holiness, Glorious and Exalted, and it is open. Blessed are those who storm the obstacle, enter the courtyard of holiness, and stand before their Lord to offer themselves and everything their Lord has entrusted to them for service, without seeking any compensation. This true call is a broad gate Allah opened for spreading Allah’s religion-not only in Palestine or the land of the Muslims, but in every place upon this earth. Blessed are those who learn the truth, teach the truth, and spread the truth throughout every region of this earth. Ahmed Alhasan
