Question 348

Is it permissible to eat Brazilian chicken found in the markets of Islamic countries? Sender: Qays al-Tamimi - Kuwait

Ahmed al-Hasan Response:

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and may Allah send prayers upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, the Imams and the Mahdis, and grant them abundant peace. If you acquire knowledge that it was slaughtered in a religiously valid manner, you may eat it. Its presence in the markets of Islamic countries is not evidence that it was properly slaughtered. Ahmed Alhasan
