Question 3: My master, what are the signs of the Hour that appear before Imam al-Mahdi (a)-may Allah hasten his relief-and those that follow him? May Allah reward you well, and may He send prayers and blessings upon our master Muhammad and his household, the Imams and the Mahdis among them. Sender: Khalid - Kuwait
Ahmed al-Hasan Response:
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and may Allah send prayers upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, the Imams and the Mahdis, and grant them abundant peace. Answer to Question 1: Be dutiful to your father and try to please him in what does not harm your religion. The Exalted said: ‘But if they strive to make you associate with Me that of which you have no knowledge, do not obey them. Accompany them in this world with kindness, and follow the way of whoever turns to Me. Then to Me is your return, and I will inform you of what you used to do’ ([99]). Answer to Question 2: Smoking is not permissible when it causes significant harm to the smoker or those around him. There is no issue with men wearing trousers, and prayer in them is permissible. A man may marry whomever he wishes even if his parents do not agree. Answer to Question 3: You will see the major signs if Allah wills, and not much remains before them. Perhaps two-thirds of the people, or more, will perish. Ahmed Alhasan
