Question 357

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and may Allah send prayers upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, the Imams and the Mahdis, and grant them abundant peace. To my guardian Ahmed (a): Peace be upon you, my guardian, the Master of the Age, and your pure fathers. My guardian, I write to you concerning one of the supporters who has proposed marriage to my daughter-who, praise and favor belong to Allah, is among the supporters. Shortly before I learned about the proposal, my friend called and said, ‘I saw that you wanted to marry off two cats-that is, two tomcats (cat, tomcat).’ Indeed, there are two candidates for this proposal. Strangely, I learned from the suitor himself that a person unknown to him came and told him that he would turn away from the Yamani call. Frankly, my guardian, I am very afraid and cannot disregard these two matters-the dream about the cat and turning away from the call. I said that I would resort to you, my guardian, after seeking Allah’s choice, so that perhaps you might direct and guide me regarding what I must do. I know how occupied you are and how numerous your tasks are, but, my master, you know that you and your father, my guardian the Master of the Age, are our gate to Allah (a), our refuge, and our shelter. May Allah (a) reward you on our behalf with the best reward and not deprive us of you. I offer you my great thanks and gratitude, and I apologize to Allah (a) and to you. Peace, mercy, and blessings of Allah be upon you. Sender: Zaynab

Ahmed al-Hasan Response:

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and may Allah send prayers upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, the Imams and the Mahdis. In matters such as these, make seeking Allah’s choice the decisive word. If He commands you, then act; and if He forbids you, then refrain. May Allah grant you success and set you aright. Peace, mercy, and blessings of Allah be upon you. Ahmed Alhasan Shawwal 1430 AH
