Question 358
Is it permissible to extract semen by an unlawful method (masturbation) for a medical examination?
Ahmed al-Hasan Response:
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and may Allah send prayers upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, the Imams and the Mahdis. If it is confirmed that there is no other cause preventing conception, it is permissible to extract semen by an unlawful method for examination if extraction is limited to that method.
