In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful, and O Allah, send Your prayers upon Muhammad and all the family of Muhammad. My dear master, peace be upon you, and the mercy of Allah and His blessings. Evil has worsened, hypocrites have become many, and goodness and good people have become few. What is required of us? We are trying-indeed, striving-to preserve our religion and morals, and we always supplicate to Allah to make us and our families steadfast upon the straight path. Yet I feel there is more and more that must be done toward this religion. We work confident that Allah Most High has placed us at the service of other Muslims, our children, or our families, and provided for us so that we may give and donate in charity, not so that we may boast of what we possess as the majority do these days. I apologize if I am thinking aloud and writing to you while knowing that you have no need of words whose degree of sincerity you do not know. Indeed, you are occupied with loftier and greater matters. Yet I am searching for something and do not know how to describe to you what I feel now. I have never been skilled at expression or writing. I am an ordinary woman and have never been a jurist or delved deeply even into matters of worship. Yet through following the Supporters of Imam al-Mahdi chat room, my husband and I were drawn by something hidden, as though we had been waiting for something and hoped this was it, and I do not know how to begin. The brothers on the radio spoke of a vision, and for six months I have been awaiting it, but it does not come to me. Since then, I have been worried and do not know what to do. They also spoke about certain matters, narrations, and attributes, among them the will of the Messenger (s). I accepted this information because I cannot reach it and verify its authenticity myself. I therefore sent you the first email, in which I had some questions about doctrinal matters. When I received the answer, I will not hide from you that I sensed a strange feeling within myself in your words and answers. Since then I have been thinking about your matter. I have never neglected it and do not want to neglect it because I want to draw closer to Allah Most High, so I strive and strive for Allah to guide me so that I may find the truth. After every prayer I always supplicate: ‘O Allah, do not cause our hearts to deviate after You have guided us, and grant us mercy from Yourself; indeed, You are the Bestower.’ Allah Almighty has spoken the truth. My husband and I had only a slight connection to worship, but in 1999 in particular we began to delve deeply into the matters of this great religion. Allah guided us-and to Him belong praise and thanks-to learn the principles of zakat, charity, prayer, fasting, and to perform them to the extent that He, Glorious is He, enabled us. Praise and thanks belong to Him always and forever. He enabled us to perform pilgrimage to His Sacred House two years ago, so praise belongs to Him. Forgive my frankness, my master, and believe me that composing this email took me two days. By Allah, how can you guide me? How can we meet you, my master? Is there a way?
