Question 378

Peace be upon you, believing supporters of Allah, and the mercy of Allah and His blessings. In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful: ‘Say: Act, and Allah will see your deeds, and so will His Messenger and the believers’ (^[160]). Allah Almighty has spoken the truth. I introduce myself to you as the poor servant in need of Allah Most High's mercy, Abu Hasan from the city of Basra. I am an employee and am 38 years old. At the outset, I would like to offer you a greeting filled with respect, esteem, and admiration for your steadfastness upon your belief and your patience in the face of harm for Allah's sake and in defending the cause of the esteemed Sayyed, possessor of abundant knowledge and radiant light, Ahmed Alhasan. May Allah grant him victory and might through you and through other believers, Allah willing; manifest his cause over those who wronged and transgressed against him among the evil rulers, scholars of misguidance, traitors to Allah, His Messenger, and his pure household; and over those who proceeded in their train and followed their example among the hypocrites and hired agents, those who ‘desire to extinguish Allah's light with their mouths, but Allah will perfect His light even though the unbelievers dislike it’ (^[161]). I say: Praise be to Allah, who comforted the breasts of a believing people through the one upon whose hands the light of divine knowledge appeared and through whom He revived the traditions of true Islam-the traditions, path, and true school of the Ahl al-Bayt (a), which the people of hypocrisy wanted to efface and erase. Praise be to Allah, who exposed them and their masters among the scholars of misguidance, and disclosed their shameful reality through the divine scholar Sayyed Ahmed Alhasan-may Allah grant him victory-who displayed truth as truth and falsehood as falsehood, placed the dots upon the letters, and illuminated for the believers the path of truth and correctness. It is therefore no surprise that the people of falsehood and hypocrisy and the armies of darkness, ignorance, and enforced ignorance should mobilize all their efforts and power and unite-despite the disparity and differences among their schools-to erase the landmarks of truth whose light arose at the hands of Sayyed Ahmed Alhasan. Nor is it surprising that they should enlist all their capacities to fight him and silence the voice of truth that shook the earth beneath their feet, exposed them before the public, and unmasked their ugly faces. Believing brothers: I have followed the cause of Sayyed Ahmed Alhasan since its beginnings. I used to acquire your books, read them, and ask the believing brothers who sold them in Umm al-Barum Square in al-Ashar about this tremendous matter. They would guide me to go to your blessed husayniyyah in the Hayy al-Zahra area in order to learn and become further enlightened. Unfortunately, however, Satan-may Allah curse him-made me sit back and sapped my resolve, until what happened in the campaign launched against you by the regime of the new Abbasids: the arrest of dozens of the finest believers enlightened by divine light; the destruction, by the minions of Satan's party, of the house of Allah founded upon piety; and the accompanying frenzied media campaign aimed at distorting Sayyed Ahmed Alhasan's image and presenting him as the Antichrist-far be it from him. But never! The light of the sun cannot be concealed by a sieve. Many have come to know who the real impostors are. Allah is sufficient for us and the finest trustee. Believers: The light of Sayyed Ahmed Alhasan illuminated the path for me. Its landmarks became clear before me after the bewilderment and loss in which I formerly lived. Praise be to Allah, I became convinced that Sayyed Ahmed Alhasan is a divine scholar who guides to the truth and to a straight path, and that many of the scholars and religious authorities of this age are only the worst scholars beneath the sky: from them tribulation came forth and to them it returns, and their destination is manifest disgrace and loss in this world and the Hereafter, Allah willing-indeed, He is Hearing, Responsive. Brothers, I have a number of questions, observations, and inquiries that I hope you will clarify through your website or by kindly sending the reply to my email address (…). The most important are as follows: 1. What do you advise me to do under present circumstances? What are the most important duties that one such as I should undertake? How can I serve the cause of Sayyed Ahmed Alhasan? 2. I tried to register on your website, but a message appeared saying that registration was blocked. I want the honor of serving your blessed cause through your website. 3. You know that many people deify the Hubal of this age (…), and do not accept even a mere discussion about his knowledge and entitlement to leadership of what is called the seminary, the religious authority, emulation, or other such names. Some of these people are heedless and do not know how to proceed toward Allah. How should I deal with them? How can I stir their rigid minds? Bear in mind that in the past I faced some problems with a group of them and was subjected to mockery and accusations while trying to enlighten them and explain Sayyed Ahmed Alhasan's entitlement to religious and worldly leadership, and that no one approaches him in knowledge and understanding. 4. I perform my obligations based on what I learned from al-Sistani's rulings, and I have not found with you a practical legal manual explaining the rulings of prayer and all other acts of worship and the details of the issues connected to them. What is the opinion of the esteemed Sayyed Ahmed Alhasan concerning that? Are my acts of worship valid and sufficient? Please enlighten me and clarify what I have asked, for by Allah I am in the greatest need of that. In closing, I ask you to request that Sayyed Ahmed Alhasan supplicate for me and my family for guidance and success. I await your answer, virtuous believers. May you be rewarded with good on behalf of the household of our Prophet Muhammad (s), and may Allah grant you their intercession as a reward for your support of their son, the divine scholar Sayyed Ahmed Alhasan-may Allah grant him victory. May Allah make us and you among those who hold fast to the firm rope of the Ahl al-Bayt and their most trustworthy handhold, and among those honored to support our Master, the Qa'im-may Allah Most High hasten his noble relief.
