Question 383
The believers' vision of Allah on the Day of Resurrection: Will the believers see Allah on the Day of Resurrection without modality, limit, or direction? Sender: Muhammad - Egypt
Supporters Response:
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and may Allah send His prayers upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, the Imams and the Mahdis, and grant them abundant peace. Brother, Sayyed Ahmed Alhasan answered in the book The Allegories concerning the meaning of this vision. I will place the question and answer here for you: Q: What is the meaning of these verses from Surat al-Qiyamah: ‘Faces on that day will be radiant, looking toward their Lord’ ([189])? A: That is, looking toward Muhammad (s), for he is the nurturer, and these are the good, radiant faces. Al-Sadiq (a) said to Hashim al-Saydawi: ‘O Hashim, my father-who is better than I-narrated to me from the Messenger of Allah (s), who said: There is no man among our poor Shia except that there is a liability upon him. I said: May I be your ransom, what is the liability? He said: The fifty-one units and fasting three days each month. When the Day of Resurrection comes, they will emerge from their graves with faces like the full moon. A man among them will be told: Ask and you will be given. He will say: I ask my Lord to look upon the face of Muhammad (s). Allah (a) will permit the people of Paradise to visit Muhammad (s). A pulpit will be set up for the Messenger of Allah (s) upon one of the carpets of Paradise. It will have a thousand steps, the distance between one step and the next being the run of a horse. Muhammad (s) and the Commander of the Believers (a) will ascend it. The Shia of the family of Muhammad (a) will surround that pulpit, and Allah will look upon them. This is His statement, Most High: “Faces on that day will be radiant, looking toward their Lord.” Light will be cast upon them to such an extent that when one of them returns, a houri will be unable to fill her gaze with him. Then Abu Abdullah (a) said: O Hashim, for the like of this let those who act, act.’ End. The Scientific Committee Supporters of Imam al-Mahdi (may Allah establish him upon the earth) Mr. Razzaq al-Ansari Blessed Shaban 1430 AH
