Question 391
Peace be upon you. Honestly, as soon as I heard about the call, I supplicated to Allah (a), saw Sayyed Ahmed Alhasan, and believed in him. I just want him to do me a favor resembling a miracle. In the end, we cannot resort to anyone other than Imam al-Mahdi, and Sayyed Ahmed Alhasan is the way to the Imam and is his messenger. The purpose of this letter is that I want the Sayyed's advice as to what I should do. I will not write what the matter is, because I am certain that the Sayyed will know it by himself, through a blessing from Allah. May you be rewarded. Sender: Ayah - Lebanon
Supporters Response:
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and may Allah send His prayers upon Muhammad and his family, the Imams and the Mahdis, and grant them abundant peace. Noble sister, I see no genuine request in your question. What you request has no connection to establishing the truth of divine calls; indeed, it contains nothing related to religion. Allah, Glorious is He, did not appoint Imam al-Mahdi (a) and his successor and messenger to fulfill people's requests that have nothing to do with knowing the truth and drawing near to Allah, Glorious is He. Allah's allies (a) are teachers of the people. The people must therefore observe their discipline and ask them about what draws them near to Allah, Glorious is He, and the light, and distances them from the ego and darkness. There is also a matter to which we must attend: Allah, Glorious is He, sent His allies (a) to bring us out of darkness into the light, not to tell us what we imagine within our darkness. What the people should know is that Allah, Glorious is He, made His allies the most knowledgeable of people concerning His law and that which they convey from Him, not concerning what people imagine to be knowledge when it is not. Put plainly, Allah's allies (a) are not fortune-tellers, diviners, or horoscope readers whom people should approach with questions that reveal nothing but infatuation with the ego and reliance upon it. Whoever claims to believe in the ally of Allah (a) should observe the discipline taught by Allah, Glorious is He, whether in asking questions or otherwise, and should be gracious in making a request. May Allah grant you success in what He loves and with which He is pleased.
