Question 403

Is there a difference between the Quran and the Book, and if there is, what is it? Sender: Muhammad al-Musawi - Iraq

Ahmed al-Hasan Response:

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and may Allah send prayers upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, the Imams and the Mahdis, and grant them peace. The Quran and the Book certainly differ. As for what the difference is, that requires you to specify which Book and which Quran you mean, and in which station. Generally, the same existent thing can be both a Book and a Quran: it is a Book in relation to the one who wrote it and from whom it issued, and it is a Quran in relation to the one who received it, acquired it, and read it. Peace, mercy, and blessings of Allah be upon you. Ahmed Alhasan Dhu al-Qidah 1431 AH
