Question 406

Is it correct to say that Allah is in every place? Sender: An ordinary Muslim

Ahmed al-Hasan Response:

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and may Allah send prayers upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, the Imams and the Mahdis, and grant them peace. It is correct to say that Allah is in every place, but not in the sense that place contains Him, Glorious and Exalted is He. Rather, it means that place subsists and exists through Him, Glorious and Exalted is He. He, Glorious is He, is the One who created and brought place into existence, and He, Glorious is He, continues to sustain place with existence. Peace, mercy, and blessings of Allah be upon you. Ahmed Alhasan Dhu al-Qidah 1431 AH
