Question 412
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. O Allah, send prayers upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, the Imams and the Mahdis, and grant them peace. Peace and prayers be upon the Yamani of the family of Muhammad, and the mercy and blessings of Allah. My master, Allah compensated al-Husayn for his crucifixion with the three well-known matters. With what did Allah, Glorious is He, compensate the likeness of Jesus the Messiah who was crucified (a), for his crucifixion and killing? Sender: Arif - Iraq
Ahmed al-Hasan Response:
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and may Allah send prayers upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, the Imams and the Mahdis. Allah bestows and gives, and His giving is always an initial favor. No one has a favor over Him, nor even a deed that can truly be reckoned as his own. Rather, by His grace Allah deals with us in this way: we act through His power, strength, granting of success, direction, and protection, and despite this He makes reward incumbent for us and considers us doers of good. This is by His grace, Glorious is He. As a matter of justice, however, none of the affair belongs to us except choice. Whoever chooses Allah is saved. Thus, crucifixion is a favor from Allah and a tremendous blessing. For the one who knows Allah, Allah’s favoring him by charging him with a deed is a tremendous matter and a tremendous blessing that requires gratitude he is incapable of rendering. As for that with which Allah favored the crucified one, Allah favored him before and afterward with tremendous blessings, the greatest of which was that which was purely for Allah and a deed purely for Allah, such as crucifixion in the path of Allah. Peace, mercy, and blessings of Allah be upon you. Ahmed Alhasan Dhu al-Hijjah 1430 AH
