In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. O Allah, send prayers upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad. I wish every good for the dear brothers working with Sayyed Ahmed Alhasan. I was reading Volume Three of The Enlightening Answer and noticed the sentence, ‘The fasting person completes his fast on every day of Ramadan …’ My observation concerns Sayyed Ahmed Alhasan saying ‘Ramadan’ without adding the word ‘month,’ because I found in the narrations of the People of the House (a) that Ramadan is one of the names of Allah and that it is forbidden for us to say, ‘Ramadan came’ and ‘Ramadan went.’ I would therefore like clarification. In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and may Allah send prayers upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, the Imams and the Mahdis, and grant them peace. May Allah grant you success in every good. The days of Ramadan are themselves the month of Ramadan, so there is no difference between your saying ‘the month of Ramadan’ and ‘the days of Ramadan.’ We say ‘the days of Allah,’ but we do not say ‘Allah came’ or ‘Allah went,’ because going and coming are attributes of that which is originated. Contemplate the difference. May Allah grant you success in every good in the Hereafter and this world. Peace, mercy, and blessings of Allah be upon you. Ahmed Alhasan Dhu al-Hijjah 1430 AH
