Question 423

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. May Allah send prayers upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, the Imams and the Mahdis. Peace be upon you, my master, my father, and the patron of my blessing. I ask Allah to make me among your servants, your supporters, and those with whose faith you are pleased. I have a question, but first, my guardian, I ask your permission to supplicate for me that I be martyred upon love and allegiance to you and that He make me act according to what you love and command. My question, my master, concerns the interpretation of the noble verse. Allah, the Exalted, said: ‘Whoever thinks that Allah will not support him in this world and the Hereafter, let him extend a means to heaven and then cut it off, and let him see whether his scheme removes that which enrages him’ ([34]). I hope, my guardian, that I have not burdened you. Peace, mercy, and blessings of Allah be upon you. Sender: Amah

Ahmed al-Hasan Response:

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and may Allah send prayers upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, the Imams and the Mahdis, and grant them peace. I ask Allah to grant you success in the good of the Hereafter and this world and to make you among those through whom He grants victory to His religion. The Exalted said: ‘Whoever thinks that Allah will not support him in this world and the Hereafter, let him extend a means to heaven and then cut it off, and let him see whether his scheme removes that which enrages him.’ Allah, Glorious and Exalted, sends the messengers and supports them with His angels and soldiers in His Kingdom and heavens. In this verse Allah, Glorious and Exalted, explains to the people who doubt the messenger that there is a path by which to know the truth and know that the messenger sent to them is true: they must open the path between themselves and the heavens by turning toward Allah to know the truth from Him, Glorious and Exalted is He: ‘Whoever thinks that Allah will not support him in this world and the Hereafter, let him extend a means to heaven.’ Then, by Allah’s favor upon him, the person will be able to distinguish truth from falsehood and clearly see the path of truth, so that he proceeds toward the truth, with the truth, through the truth, upon clear evidence concerning his affair. What he sees in the Kingdom of the Heavens will then be a cause for the evil folded within his soul to depart, so that the page of his existence is filled with faith and goodness. Peace, mercy, and blessings of Allah be upon you. Ahmed Alhasan Rabi al-Awwal 1431 AH
