Question 469

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Through Him we seek help, and to Him belongs praise, first and last. Prayers and peace be upon the best of His creation, Muhammad, and his pure progeny, the Imams and the Mahdis, and may He grant them peace. And thereafter: Peace, mercy, and blessings of Allah be upon you. Peace be upon the Yamani of the family of Muhammad. Peace be upon the son of the Remnant of Allah upon His earth and His Proof over His servants. My master, it is an honor for me to write to your station-from nonexistence, darkness, and disobedience to the light of the most splendid existence; to the one to whom the hearts of the believers cling; to Allah’s guarded secret. My master, by Allah, I am ashamed to address you, but I have no recourse except that. I have questions and ask you to answer them: First: I am among those who believed in your Call, and this is a tremendous honor for me. I am still studying in the religious seminary, but without conviction in doing so, because I have grown weary of the students’ conduct, because beneficial sciences are absent, because my presence there is to discharge an obligation, because of the ill-fated salary that humiliates the students, and also to avert suspicion from myself in the seminary and the area. What do you advise me, my master? Should I remain or not? Second: People frequently ask me about religious rulings, and I answer according to what is commonly stated in the practical manuals, but I fear that this may conflict with what is found in the book The Laws of Islam. What is the way out, my master? Third: Some students ask me to teach them principles of jurisprudence or rational sciences, and I evade doing so out of fear of opposing you, my master. Finally, and most importantly, my master, O son of the Remnant of Allah, I ask you for a supplication for the rectification of my Hereafter and this world, for you have tremendous standing and an exalted station with Allah, by the right of the one who entrusted His secret to you. Peace, mercy, and blessings of Allah be upon you. Sender: Ruh al-Haqq - Iraq

Ahmed al-Hasan Response:

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and may Allah send prayers upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, the Imams and the Mahdis, and grant them peace. May Allah grant you success in every good. Avoid falsehood and its people, rely upon Allah, and He will not abandon you, for He is Kind and Merciful. May Allah grant you success. A person will be asked about his life and how he spent it, so do not waste your time with these people. Rather, devote yourself to reading what has been narrated from the People of the House (a) in explanation of the truth and the Quran. As for your material need, you can contact the supporters and receive a salary from the treasury, considering that you are a student of knowledge devoted to guiding people. I ask Allah to place blessing in it for you and make you independent through the truth from the wrongdoers. Peace, mercy, and blessings of Allah be upon you. Ahmed Alhasan Rabi al-Awwal 1431 AH
