Question 590
I adjure the administration by the banner of Abu al-Fadl al-Abbas to deliver my message to Sayyid Ahmed Alhasan. Peace, mercy, and blessings of Allah be upon Sayyid Ahmed Alhasan. I am one of the loyal Shia, and I suffer from two illnesses that have exhausted me severely. The first is self-talk, imagination, or what is called daydreaming. The second is that I speak rapidly and in a manner that makes it difficult for the other person to understand me. This second illness embarrasses me greatly and has shaken my personality. I ask His Eminence the Sayyid to supplicate to Allah for me and that I be healed at his hands, by Allah’s permission. By Allah, I am exhausted by this illness of mine. I adjure you by the right of the Imamate upon you to supplicate for my healing. Sender: The Seeker of Truth - Iraq
Ahmed al-Hasan Response:
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and may Allah send prayers upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, the Imams and the Mahdis, and grant them peace. May Allah grant you success in every good, and I ask Allah to heal you from every illness by His grace and favor, Glorious and Exalted is He. I ask you to read Surat al-Tawhid three times every night before you sleep, to read Ayat al-Kursi, and to read these verses every day and night: ‘Indeed, your Lord is Allah, who created the heavens and the earth in six days, then established Himself over the Throne. He causes the night to cover the day, which pursues it swiftly; and the sun, the moon, and the stars are subjected by His command. Unquestionably, creation and command belong to Him. Blessed is Allah, Lord of the worlds. Call upon your Lord humbly and secretly; indeed, He does not love the transgressors. Do not cause corruption upon the earth after it has been set right, and call upon Him in fear and hope. Indeed, Allah’s mercy is near to the doers of good’ ([83]). Also, for healing, always read this supplication with an attentive heart: ‘O He whose name is medicine and whose remembrance is healing, O He who places healing in whatever things He wills, send prayers upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, and make the healing of (mention the name if it is someone other than you, or use the first-person possessive-meaning, say “my healing”) from this illness by this name of Yours: “O Allah” ten times, “O Lord” ten times, “O Most Merciful of the merciful” ten times.’ Peace, mercy, and blessings of Allah be upon you.
