Question 589

I want to know a supplication from the Quran that is accepted by Allah for an abundance of provision, and another for healing. Sender: Fatima - Beirut

Ahmed al-Hasan Response:

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and may Allah send prayers upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, the Imams and the Mahdis, and grant them peace. Read these verses one thousand times every day and night and act upon them-that is, be mindful of Allah-for an increase in provision. Allah willing, your provision will increase, and Allah will expand your provision by His grace, Glorious and Exalted is He: ‘Whoever is mindful of Allah, He makes for him a way out, and provides for him from where he does not expect. Whoever relies upon Allah, He is sufficient for him. Indeed, Allah accomplishes His command. Allah has appointed a measure for everything’ ([82]). For healing, always read this supplication with an attentive heart: ‘O He whose name is medicine and whose remembrance is healing, O He who places healing in whatever things He wills, send prayers upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, and make the healing of (mention the name if it is someone other than you, or use the first-person possessive-meaning, say “my healing”) from this illness by this name of Yours: “O Allah” ten times, “O Lord” ten times, “O Most Merciful of the merciful” ten times.’ Ahmed Alhasan Muharram al-Haram, 1432 AH
