Question 598

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Prayers and peace be upon Abu al-Qasim Muhammad (s), and upon all his family and companions. To proceed … On one of the days of the sacred month of Muharram this year-and I swear to this-I saw in my dream that I was going on visitation to noble Najaf. In the covered market for selling fabrics, it was as though I were buying fabric from one of the shops. The beauty of the colors and a distinctive fragrance in the shop drew me to look at a book on one of its shelves. It was as though it were the Book of Allah, the Exalted, the Noble Quran, but ‘Imam Ahmed ibn al-Hasan’ was written upon it for protection [the Arabic wording is unusual]. I asked the shopkeeper who Ahmed ibn al-Hasan was, but he did not answer me. The name, however, remained fixed in my mind. Today I write to you and ask you to give me your opinion or help me understand: what does this vision mean? Peace be upon you. Sender: Abu Ahmed - Scotland

Ahmed al-Hasan Response:

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and may Allah send prayers upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, the Imams and the Mahdis, and grant them peace. May Allah grant you success in every good in this world and the Hereafter. Your vision is clear, and it is from Allah’s grace upon you that He clarified the truth for you with such clarity that admits no ambiguity. In the Kingdom of Heaven, fabric is the garment of piety and the garment of the people of the Gardens. May Allah make you among the best people of the Gardens. The Exalted said: ‘O children of Adam, We have sent down upon you clothing to conceal your private parts and as adornment, but the garment of piety-that is best. That is among Allah’s signs, so perhaps they will take heed’ ([85]). The Quran is a symbol of the Proof and Allah’s vicegerent in every age, for he is the speaking Quran and the interpreter of the Quran. Your vision represents your entering the Supporters’ website on the internet. It represents the visitation of the Commander of the Believers because it introduces you to the Commander of the Believers, Ali (a). It is a fabric shop because from it the people of faith and piety take the garment of piety and security for the Day of Resurrection and the Return. The fragrances are good words. The Noble Quran is Allah’s vicegerent, the conduct of Allah’s vicegerent, and the introduction to him. The shopkeeper did not tell you who Ahmed Alhasan is because, at the time you entered, Ahmed Alhasan’s name and lineage through Ali ibn Abi Talib (a) had not yet been published in full. Peace, mercy, and blessings of Allah be upon you. Ahmed Alhasan Rajab al-Asabb, 1431 AH
